Broad Creek Marina Fishing Charters

Broad Creek Marina

We call Hilton Head Island home and when not out catching fish, you can find our boat docked at Broad Creek Marina. Located in the very heart of this premier resort destination off the coast of South Carolina, Broad Creek Marina is in a peaceful setting surrounded by natural beauty and convenient to the Atlantic Ocean via the Broad Creek waterway.

A Message From Captain Terry-

I was born and raised in the Mountains of Eastern Kentucky. As a very young boy, my friends and I, would either catch salamanders or Crawdads in the “Holler” or work a 2 person seine net in the shallow and rocky areas of Beaver Creek to catch bait. Beaver Creek is a tributary that is about 15 miles long consisting of any water conditions imaginable. We would spend sunrise to sunset in Beaver Creek fishing everything from 6” of water to 10 feet, fast water to slow pools, sandy banks to rocky cliffs, sunny skies to rain. At a young age we learned the importance of being prepared to find and catch fish, regardless of conditions, as well as when it is time to get home before the storms.

These are the same tactics and considerations that I use today to put you in the Best spot and have the appropriate gear, tackle and bait to ensure you have the Absolute Best Opportunity to catch Your Trophy Fish. As exciting as each and every catch is, Fishing is so much more to me. Fishing is truly about the Fellowship of Family and Friends. “There is No Better way, to Spend a Day”

In the Summer of 1999 I moved to Hilton Head Island after studying Mining Engineering at the University of Kentucky.  I quickly discovered Hilton Head had an endless resource of water to satisfy my constant desire to Fish. In Summer of 2000, a friend and I bought our first boat and literally fished everyday for the first 2 years.  I have been fishing The waters of Hilton Head ever since. In 2012, I decided to get my USCG Master Captains License and began to build TailTamer Fishing Charters. I spent 15 years bartending, coal mining, Beverage sales and marketing and Construction to support my fishing habit. I am truly Blessed to finally have my dream job.

When I am not fishing, I enjoy spending time with Elizabeth and our Son (Terry Lynn Hall III) along with any and all of our family, watching Football in the Fall, Basketball in March and watching a good movie. And of course, we fisherman are always dreaming of a “Bigger” Boat…..LOL!
